iPhone 5 Release Date in South Africa

The much anticipated iPhone 5 is reported to be released at the end of September in the US.

The Apple iPhone 5 release date in South Africa is expected to be before Christmas this year. Production capacity on the iPhone 5 is reported to be in excess of  45 million units, which could make it the most popular version to date.

The next generation iPhone 5 is set to include the following upgrades to the iPhone 4:

  • A larger touch screen interface with higher resolution – to enable better mobile TV applications
  • Improved antenna – many people reported issues with the iPhone 4 reception
  • An 8-megapixel camera – to keep current with other phone cameras
  • iOS 5.0 Operating System – which includes features such as multi-finger touch
  • Better memory capacity – possibly the A5 chip or dual core processor inline with current advancements

iPhone users have also been speculating on the potential feature upgrades including: better volume control; removable battery unit; expandable memory; FaceTime over cellular connection; Adobe Flash support; and fewer dropped calls.

However,  it is highly unlikely that Apple will listen to the wishlist above, and the techies need to wait and see the what is unveiled at the launch.
