Together with Jacques Marais, Refresh conceptualised and developed the concept of Ndorfin – to provide an online platform for adventure events in South Africa.
Endorphins are the good stuff that your body produces when you exercise. We took this starting point and came up with Ndorfin. The heartbeat identity and blood red colour fitted neatly with this concept and the logo came alive.
To launch the brand we designed and printed several thousand month-to-view calendars in 2006, where each page was sponsored by a leading outdoor brand. Brands included: Columbia; Camelbak; Salomon; Cape Storm; DueSouth and North Face.
The Ndorfin Calendar in 2007 was sponsored by: GUST Magazine; Cape Storm; DueSouth; Columbia; First Ascent; North Face; Nissan; Salomon; DueSouth and Land Rover.
In 2008 the Ndorfin produced a wall-calendar. This was sponsored and distributed by DueSouth.
In addition to distributing printed calendars, Ndorfin also sent out emailers sponsored by DueSouth. These emailers were sent to the Ndorfin database on a monthly basis.
